Seats, Suites and Schedule Now Available for Mason-Dixon Meltdown
First Chance to Get Best Seats in the House at Mason-Dixon Meltdown
Race fans love end-of-the-season “big shows.”  This year there is a new kid in town, the inaugural Mason-Dixon Meltdown at South Boston Speedway in Virginia on November 24th and 25th for PASS Super Late Models, Tour-type Modified, Legends Cars and the Pro Challenge Series.  And now seats, suites and the schedule are available to the public at masondixonmeltdown.com.
Advance tickets, by credit card, check or money order can be ordered at the event’s official website.  The schedule, filled with the most laps ever to be competed at South Boston in a single weekend, is also listed on the site.  Officials for the weekend currently also have three remaining suites for anyone who is interested in purchasing one for the entire weekend.

“We are excited about this event,” said Bob Dillner, co-promoter of the event.  “If I am a Modified fan, after the NASCAR Tours are over, I am going to two events to see full-blown Modified shows, the North-South Shootout at Concord Motorsport Park (Nov 4th) and the Mason-Dixon Meltdown.  And if I’m a Super Late Model fan, I’d be going to a hatrick of races, the All American 400 (at the Music City Motorplex, TN), the Snowball Derby (at Five Flags Speedway, FL) and the ‘Meltdown.’  With the addition of this race, we feel we are offering fans and competitors another opportunity to satisfy their racing appetite before the cars and stars begin to hibernate for the winter.”

The entries are beginning to file in for the Twin 250-lap races which will pay $12,500 to the winner and $1,000 to start.  Lap money is also being collected at $100 per lap and will pay to the first, second and third place competitors on all sponsored laps.  If you wish to sponsor a lap, that information can also be found on the website.

For fans that would prefer not to have to wait in line to purchase their tickets on the day of the event, they can do so on masondixonmeltdown.com.  Friday events, which will feature time trials for the Super Late Models and Modifieds, as well as Legends Cars features, will be $15 for admission.  The price for Saturday, which includes the Twin 250s and a 50-lap feature for the Pro Challenge Series, will be $30.  Fans can purchase a discounted two-day ticket for $40.  For those who do purchase an advance ticket, they will be granted admittance to the track one hour before those who purchase their General Admission tickets on the day of the event.  For a full schedule of the events on both Friday and Saturday, please check the Meltdown website.  Sunday is the scheduled rain-day for the event.

A limited amount of suites are still available for rent as well.  For more information on the suites, please contact Zach Drager or Amy Hayes at 704-455-2051.

Camping will be permitted at the facility beginning on Wednesday afternoon.  The weekend fee for parking your camper on the grounds of the track is $40.  There will also be a limited number of full-service hook-ups for motorhomes at $100 each.  For information on those prime spots, please call Amy Hayes at 704-455-2051.
